series) focused on the study of Dr.Edward L

presented. MRIGZOLL digital book was

Family supported best digital story presentation
awards, and Fredrick Quadros memorial Ashawadi
Prakashan's digital awards were also declared
during the valedictory webinar, held on the 10th
August 2024.
News | Daiji Dubai Sahitik Puroskar 2025
Daiji
Dubai, Konkani writers forum in the
United Arab Emirates, which completes 25 years
has requested applications from the veterans who
have contributed to Konkani, speially in the
field of Konkani literature across the globe.
The prestigeous 'Daiji Dubai Literary
Award 2025'. The award carries Rs.75000
cash, citation and memento to be presented
during its Silver Jubilee function in 2025.

The

Ani Hokk-Man; included 12 fabulous poets,
and the winner 'Poinnari Poet of the Year 2024'
is Bab Prakash D Naik, well known poet, activist
and teacher in Goa. The column was edited by Bab
Shailendra Mehta and the juries included noted
poets; Bab Andrew L D'Cunha, Bab Uday Mhambro,
Bab Nanu Marol and Bab Shailendra Mehta.

Monica
DSa Mathias is one of the very few story writers
in Konkani from the medical field. Her maiden book 'Novi
Dixa' won her the best book award from
Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Akademi.
Ti ek Raat story is yet another
story based on a real incident.

The
winner of the poetry contest in the the 8th 'Monthly
poetry writing contest' of 'Chitram

News | MRIGZOLL - Digital Audio Book Release
Ashawadi
Prakashan's 7th album of digital audio books on
its YouTube channel 'MRIGZOLL, consisting of
Dr.Edward L Nazreth's top 20 Konkani short
stories, were released by Stany Alvares, the
president of Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy
on 5th May 2024. Fr.Chetan Lobo inaugurated and
delivered keynotes, Bab Vasant Sawant (President
of Goa Konkani Akademi), Bab Celso Fernandes
(President of Dalgado Konkani Akademi), Bab Stan
Ageira, Bab Lawrence V Barboza, Bai Monica DSa
Mathias, Dr.Austin Prabhu, Dr.Chandralekha
DSouza, Dr.Edward L Nazreth were amongst the
dignitaries present. Megan De'Souza hosted the
webinar, Bab Shailendra Mehta proposed vote of
thanks.

Editorial | Konkani Scripts - Where are we?
The
world has transformed from the stone-age to the
modern age of AI (Artificial Intelligence), but
I wonder there are few still stuck at
script/dialect issue rather than doing something
useful for the development of Konkani language,
a global language. Instead of pulling each
other's legs and stop the progress, why cant we
hold each others hands and move forward with new
hope and optimism?. It is the time to realise
the richness of Konkani literature spread across
scripts, through building new bridges of harmony
and brotherhood. Can this hard hitting editorial
shake the brains (if its not already dead?).
